Our staff is comprised of several professional engineers, several engineers-in-training, along with civil technicians and architectural draftsmen. William Kollaard, P. Eng.

Bill is a Principal and Company Owner with more than 20 years of experience in the civil, environmental and on-site wastewater consulting industry.  Bill’s previous experience includes managing agricultural wastewater research projects for the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and the University of Guelph, followed by opening a local branch office for Stratford, Ontario, based Johnson Engineering.  Bill acts as senior engineer in many multi-disciplinary projects providing civil, municipal, environmental and structural engineering services.  He is also a Qualified Person under Ontario Regulation 153/04.

Steve deWit, P.Eng.

Steve is a senior civil engineer with over 15 years of experience in geotechnical and civil projects, including design and management of municipal and civil engineering projects such as subdivision design, stormwater control and treatment, site plan control, slope stability assessments and stabilization design, retaining wall and dyke design and shoreline erosion evaluation, protection and remediation.  Steve is responsible for the management of the civil engineering department at Kollaard Associates Inc.

Dean Tataryn, B.E.S.,EP

Dean is an Environmental Professional with 20 years of experience in geotechnical and environmental projects, including Phase I and II ESAs, environmental remediation, field expertise in geotechnical and environmental drilling and construction related project supervision and inspections.  Dean supervises the field technicians for various construction inspections and manages the environmental and geotechnical department at Kollaard Associates Inc.

Kaleb Lakew, P.Eng

Kaleb is a senior civil engineer with more than 25 years of experience in civil and municipal projects.  Kaleb has managed numerous civil engineering projects including design and inspection of on-site sewage systems, grading and drainage design, municipal servicing design, and projects with shoreline and flood plain considerations.  He has experience in designing conventional stone and pipe systems, filter media beds, area beds with tertiary treatment and shallow buried trenches with tertiary treatment.  Kaleb manages the septic and grading department.

Chris is a project engineer with 10 years of experience in structural engineering projects, including structural design of foundations, beams, lintels, columns and connections for residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural building design, and structural review of architectural drawings.  He also provides technical and professional advice to various clients.  Chris manages the structural engineering department at Kollaard Associates Inc.

Colleen is a project engineer with 9 years of experience in hydrogeological and environmental projects, including Phase I and II ESAs, site supervision and remediation, hydrogeological and terrain studies for subdivision developments with private water supply and sewage systems and dewatering projects involving aquifer testing.  Colleen manages hydrogeological and environmental projects.

Rob’s drafting experience is used primarily in the civil engineering department through the use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.

Nicole Rajnovich

Nicole is a designer with 5 years of experience in designing grading and drainage plans and municipal servicing plans for residential and commercial projects.  Nicole also has experience in stormwater control design, preparing site servicing briefs for commercial and residential developments and preparing tender documents and specifications. Nicole’s drafting experience is used primarily in the civil engineering department through the use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.

Malou Leblanc

Malou is a CADD (Computer Aided Design and Drafting) technician with over 5 years of experience with GIS and civil drafting for multi-unit residential and commercial projects.  Malou has experience in the preparation of engineering drawings for Site Plan Control and other development applications and in project coordination.  She acts as a liaison between clients, consultants, developers and approval authorities during the application process.  Malou’s drafting experience is used primarily in the civil engineering department through the use of AutoCAD software.

Gordon Dykstra

Gordon is a field and survey technician with more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry.  Gordon’s field experience includes carrying out construction inspections, including subgrade, footing and rebar inspections and compaction and concrete testing.  Gordon’s field expertise is used primarily in the civil and geotechnical departments.

 

 

Alex Dekleine

Alex is a recent civil engineering technologist graduate with experience in carrying out topographic surveying, including GPS road layouts and other construction inspections including subgrade, footing and rebar inspections and concrete testing.  Alex also carries out sewage system inspections.  Alex’s field expertise is used primarily in the civil and septic and grading departments.
